A 50-year-old former security guard at GSS College, Kawo, Kaduna state has been arrested for allegedly raping multiple female students of the school.
According to a statement by the Kaduna state Human Service and Social Development Office, Sani Hayi was reported in 2016 to have repeatedly raped a 16-year-old student of the said school.
The girl, when interrogated, confirmed that the abuse took place on a daily basis, sometimes in the morning and afternoon, she also mentioned 5 other school mates who were abused by the suspect.
“He took me to different locations where he abused me and sometimes a group of women also abused me”, the victim said.
Blackbox Nigeria learnt that the suspect was arrested in 2016 and handed over to the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Person for investigation and prosecution.
Sani however, escaped custody and went into hiding, but was recently rearrested after the agency received word that he had resumed work as a security guard at the Sardauna Memorial College.
