Sanwo Olu’s Aides Battle For Honors, As Lagos Youth Awards Unveil Nominations’ List

Ahead of the second edition of the Lagos Youth Awards (LYA), the organizers, BBN360 have unveiled the nominees’ list for the various categories. Two of Lagos state Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s aides were nominated in the Most Outstanding Young Person in Public Service category.

Tunbosun Alake the SA to Governor Sanwo-Olu on Technology and Jubril Gawat, the SSA to Governor Sanwo-Olu on Media we’re both nominated in this category.

Tunbosun started as the Special Adviser to the Governor on Innovation and Technology in September 2019 and is also a member of the Lagos State Science Research and Innovation Council. Before his appointment, he worked as the General Manager Information Technology at Filmhouse Cinemas.

Gawat Jubril, popularly addressed as Mr. JAGS on the other hand is the Senior Special Adviser on New Media to the Governor. Gawat studied Computer Science at Crescent University, Abeokuta. He has previously worked with Nigerian Bottling Company as a Server Room Analyst; Caverton Helicopter as Data Entry Officer; and Programme Analyst II with the Lagos State government, before his appointment by the Governor. He is well-known for his track record on social media.

Other nominees in the category are Rabiu Olowo, the Commissioner for Finance of Lagos State, and finally the Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Benjamin Hundeyin.
