SANWO-OLU PROMISES TO BRIDGE INFRASTRUCTURE DEFICIT IN IKORODU
Lagos State All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate Babajide Sanwo-Olu today, Thursday 31st January 2019 has promised to bridge the infrastructure deficit in Ikorodu Division, if elected in next month’s election as governor.
The gubernatorial candidate revealed this when the APC campaign train rolled into Ipadoko, Ikorodu in the presence of a mammoth crowd.
Just before his addressed to the crowd at the rally, his running mate Dr. Obafemi Hamzat opened that apart from Igbe and Isawo roads, which will be constructed when hopefully the new government is inaugurated in May, the flag bearer said he will also construct the popular Suleiman-Farouk Road in the heart of the ancient town as requested by the residents.
Sanwo-Olu, while thanking supporters said in addition to the two roads which his deputy already revealed to be constructed, the Suleiman Road will also receive a renewed attention by linking it to Agboyi-Ketu, including the compilation of the two stadia in Ikorodu and Ketu.
He berated the opposition, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) for claiming that Lagos has been in bondage, noting that Ikorodu and other parts of the state have been enjoying freedom and dividends of democracy under successive progressive administrations.
Alerting them to the challenge of February 16 and March 2, Sanwo-Olu, who described himself as a sellable candidate, urged them to vote for President Muhammadu Buhari, himself and running mate and other Party candidates.
Sanwo-Olu and his running mate later was presented the party’s flag by the State chairman of the party, Tunde Balogun and parliamentary candidates-Senator Oluremi Tinubu (lagos Central), Sikiru Osinnowo (Lagos East), Solomon Adeola (Lagos West), House of Representatives candidate Jimi Benson and House of Assembly candidates-Sunai Agunbiade and Tayo Solaja.
Party supporters came from Epe, Isiwo, Ibeshe, Ajowa, Ota-Ikosi, Imota, Ijede, Adamo, Kosofe, Somolu, Ketu, Ikosi, Owode, and other towns and villages in the East Senatorial District.
Party leaders at the rally included Deputy Governor Idiat Adebule, Lagos East leader Pa Busura Alebiosu, Senator Tony Adefuye, Chief lanre Rasak, Chief Akanni Seriki, Southwest APC Women Leader Chief Kemi Nelson, Lagos APC Women Leader Princess Jumoke Okoya-Thomas, former Hiuse of Assembly Speaker Joko Pelumi, Chief Sunny Ajose, Chief Funso Ologunde, Ashipa kaoli Olusanya, Hakeem Bamgbala, party secretary Dr. Wale Ahmed, Publicity Secretary Comrade Joe Igbokwe, Sanwo-Olu’s campaign manager Tayo Ayinde, Primate Charles Odugbesi, Tunde Braimoh, Sanwo-Olu’s wife, Dr Ibijoke, Mrs. Yetunde Arobieke, and a leader of the Arewa community, Farouk Ahmed.
