As the July 12 Lagos local government elections draw near, Hon. Motunrayo Gbadebo-Alogba, the All Progressives Congress (APC) Chairmanship candidate for Ijede Local Council Development Area (LCDA), has reaffirmed her commitment to inclusive and transparent governance, following her official endorsement by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu.
The endorsement came during a stakeholders’ meeting held at the State House in Marina, where Governor Sanwo-Olu gave his full backing to all 57 APC flag bearers across the state’s local government areas and LCDAs.
The governor’s endorsement signals a major boost for Gbadebo-Alogba’s candidacy, as she leads the party’s charge in Ijede LCDA.
In her remarks, she promised to deepen service delivery and bring governance closer to the people.
“We have been given the mandate to lead, and we promise to deliver inclusive and transparent governance in Ijede LCDA,” she declared.
Governor Sanwo-Olu used the occasion to charge all candidates to prioritize community development, stressing the importance of local governance in achieving grassroots progress.
“Today, I officially endorse all our party candidates across the 57 LGAs and LCDAs, marking the formal beginning of their mandate as flag bearers of our party,” the governor said.
“They must be ambassadors of grassroots development and champions of community empowerment.”
With the party machinery fully activated and backing from the state leadership, Gbadebo-Alogba now heads into the election season with renewed hope towards strengthening community-based initiatives and inclusive leadership in Ijede.
