The Lagos State governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu has appointed Owolabi Jamiu Falana as a Permanent Board Member of the Lagos State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB).
Falana confirmed the appointment in a statement on Friday, saying he is the one of the youngest persons to serve as a SUBEB Board Member.
“I would like to extend my profound gratitude to Mr. Governor for the faith in me by this appointment, and more importantly, for the disposition of his administration to quality education, which is a major element of his THEMES Agenda. The successes recorded in this regard are not far-fetched. The state continues to record gains with Eko EXCEL – a digital education revolution as well as massive reconstruction of public schools, a testament to visionary leadership and unwavering commitment to excellence,” the statement read in part.
“The work is not fully done, yet. I look forward to contributing value on this new assignment. And I hope to count on your support and prayers.”
Falana, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos, was the youngest national delegate to represent the state at the party’s presidential primary held in Abuja.
