By Sallah Holiday: FG Cancels FEC Meeting ‘Cos Governors, Ministers, Others Aren’t Ready
The Federal Government has announced the cancellation of this week’s Federal Executive Council (FEC) Meeting due to the public holidays earlier declared. This cancellation is coming barely weeks after a meeting was also canceled.
It will be recalled that the FEC Meeting was also cancelled on August 23rd days after President Muhammadu Buhari returned from his medical vacation in London.
A press statement released by Segun Adeyemi, a Special Assistant to Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, the Federal Government was unable to prepare adequately for the meeting due to the two-day public holidays declared for the Eid-el-Kabir celebration.
Mr Adeyemi disclosed that the two days holiday left them with no time to prepare documents for the meeting which is a vital session in the nation, holding weekly at the Presidential Villa.
