Saheed Ibikunle: Many Paths Of An Omoluabi
The yoruba culture is unique one that propagates a culture of Virtue, respect, selflessness, dedication, loyalty and brotherhood. And when any thoroughbred of the yoruba mythology exhumes these attributes, he is called an Omoluabi.
Dear Otunba, I know you are many things to a lot of people and this is because of the substance and virtue you exhibit everyday of your life.
To me, you are not just a boss, because you continuously play the role of a teacher, mentor, leader and father. You are also a giver and I am often amazed with your giving spirit even to the extent of denying yourself of certain luxuries just to give to others whose needs are more pressing. I silently call you “Olowo tio mo Monday”, translated to mean you are never mindful of any particular day to help the needy.
You are an Omoluabi and this is because you exhilarate the character of an Omoluabi in every field of your endeavours. You’re a man of many parts and your golden name is already written indelibly on the rock. How you navigate between many paths and still come out to be an outstanding Omoluabi remains a mystery that many cannot unravel.
The Capo De’tutti himself, you are the definition of the master of words and a brilliant master of execution. Until recently I wondered how you balance your social, corporate, academic, political and business life so excellently, then I found out that you are a nocturnal character, your nights are special hours on your study table, but Otunba I think you should sleep more at nights now. It’s time to allow us takeover the midnight readings from you.
I know you will get a lot of messages today, I want you to believe every good words spoken about you, they are genuine exposition of who you are. You have taken care of the Terrestrial and the Celestial shall find you worthy of care. I join the lots to wish you a very happy birthday in good health, sound mind and abundance of prosperity. Awon olori a tunbo posi laafin otunba ooo. Pele lowu nse ni le aro Baami. God bless you sir.
