Sacked PDP Chairman, Ali Modu-Sheriff Meets VP Osinbajo In Closed Door Meeting
Vice President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo SAN on Thursday met with the displaced Chairman of the main opposition, People’s Democratic Party, Senator Ali Modu Sheriff at the presidential villa.
Sources in Abuja disclosed that the meeting which was behind closed doors did not take long after which the controversial lawmaker left the Villa without speaking with the journalists.
This meeting is coming weeks after President Muhammadu Buari met with leadership of the PDP and also his party, APC at the villa. Osinbajo was also present at the meeting then.
The ousted embattled National Chairman of PDP arrived the Villa on Thursday evening and immediately went into the meeting at the Vice President’s office. He left two hours later without speaking to anyone.
Since he was sacked by the July 12th Supreme Court judgement, Senator Sheriff has maintained a low key profile as he stays off public functions including the non-elective convention of the PDP on August 12th.
His meeting with Osinbajo is also coming at a time rumours of his defection from the PDP is rife.
