By Revisited! Ruiz Jr Won Fight With Lucky Punch From gods Says Anthony Joshua
Ahead of Anthony Joshua and Ruiz Jr rematch for the unified world heavyweight WBA, IBF, WBO and IBO titles yet to be scheduled, Joshua claims the punch that sent him off the canvas was a lucky punch sent by the gods.
He said this during an interview with Sky Sports Boxing. In the interview, Joshua who showed optimism to reclaim his titles was asked if he is confident of winning the rematch, he replied in the affirmative.
When the female interview said but Ruiz Jr beat you in the last fight, the British-Nigerian professional boxer responded, “A lucky punch, a punch that was sent by the gods.”
Joshua’s belief in the gods might not be unconnected to his recent visit to Nigeria wherein many immediately after his defeat told him to come back to his fatherland to appease the gods.
In the views of many who like the boxer, Ruiz Jr is too out of shape to have been able to beat him in the first instance.
