Rescue team recovers Lagos high-rise building owner’s body from rubble

Body of Femi Osibona, owner of the 16 floors building that collapsed in Ikoyi axis of the state has been recovered by a combined team of Emergency responders.

The National Emergency Management Agency confirmed to TheCable that he was found dead after rescuers discovered the body

According to report, the corpse of Osibona was recovered on Thursday after frantic efforts from emergency responders working since Monday when the incident occurred.

Lifeless body of another property owner and a friend to Osibona, Wale Bob-Oseni, a US-bound real estate dealer and executive director of African Bureau for Legislative Empowerment who was also at the incident scene on Monday have also been recovered from the rubble.

Bob was said to be on his way to airport to catch a flight to America when he was summoned by Osibona to come and inspect the ongoing work in the construction site.

So far, authorities have announced 39 recovered bodies from the rubble.
