Jonathan Joss, a 59-year-old American actor best known for his voice role as John Redcorn on the popular animated series King of the Hill, was shot and killed on Sunday during a dispute with a neighbour, according to a report by the BBC.
In a statement released Monday, the San Antonio Police Department confirmed that 56 year old Sigfredo Ceja Alvarez has been arrested and charged with murder in connection with the fatal shooting.

“Despite online claims of this being a hate crime, currently the investigation has found no evidence to indicate that Mr. Joss’s murder was related to his sexual orientation,” police said.
“Investigators handle these allegations very seriously and have thoroughly reviewed all available information. Should any new evidence come to light, the suspect will be charged accordingly.”
Joss earned wide recognition for his portrayal of Native American characters in both television and film.
