Abdullateef Aliyu Maiyaki, popularly known as Mufti Yaks, a prominent Nigerian Islamic cleric and motivational speaker, has passed away at the age of 20. According to reports, Mufti Yaks died on Saturday, June 1, 2024, at the National Hospital in Abuja after a brief illness.
Mufti Ismail Ibn Menk, a renowned cleric and Islamic scholar, announced the news on his Facebook page, expressing his sadness and condolences. Menk, who was a role model to Mufti Yaks, prayed that God grant him eternal rest and forgive his sins.
“I’m saddened by the news of the death of the young Abdul Latif Miyaki Mufti Yaks this morning. He was a very talented young lad trying to spread goodness. May Allah Almighty forgive him, accept his good deeds and grant him the highest ranks of Paradise. Aameen,” Menk wrote.
Mufti Yaks was born in 2004 and was known for promoting peace through his teachings. His efforts and contributions had a significant impact on many lives.
