Stade de Reims defenders have disclosed the reason they kept fouling Lionel Messi on Sunday to be wanting a physical contact with him.
Recall on Sunday, the former Barcelona captain made his debut for PSG when the Paris Giants played away against Reims and this seemed like a tough one for newly signed Lionel Messi.
According to SofaScore, the match which ended with PSG scoring two goals against Reims recorded Messi to be the most fouled player just 20 minutes into the game.
However, when the defenders who fouled Messi were asked the reason behind this act, they had explained that they just wanted to “touch, feel” the six-time Ballon d’Or winner.
