By Recall Process: Abuja High Court Strikes Out Dino Melaye’s Appeal
The Federal High Court in Abuja moments ago striked out a suit filed by Senator Dino Melaye intended at stopping the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) from carrying on with the recall process started by his constituents.
BlackBox Nigeria gathered that Justice Nnamdi Dimgba dismissed the case stating that it lacked merit and not worthy to deserve a Court hearing.
It will be recalled that electorate of Kogi West Senatorial district submitted 188,000 signatures to the electoral commission.
Following the Court’s ruling, the Commission has been given a go ahead to kick start the recall of the lawmaker from the National Assembly after his constituents submitted the petition against him.
