WhatsApp, the instant communication app owned by Meta, with over 2 billion users, appears to be facing an outage, according to thousands of users.
The outage began at about 8:00am on Tuesday,as several users were heading to other social media platforms to lament the development.
A check indicated that users could not send messages to groups while personal messages only showed one tick which means that such messages were not delivered to the recipient and feature did not also function.
In a statement the Meta spokesperson said: “We’re aware that some people are currently having trouble sending messages and we’re working to restore WhatsApp for everyone as quickly as possible.”
In a tweet by@Zinolessky world said If we can’t talk via WhatsApp,we can come to twitter to share feelings.
Another Tweeps from @-onyebuchii said It is very frustrating as in the case of WhatsApp, it seems mark Zuckerberg and his meta company had been losing their grit.
User@sepatuboots said he find it hilarious that people all just sit down and do nothing while WhatsApp is down, as if tacitly agreeing to stop working for a bit.
@meo-saud Lamented that Whatsapp down,Life down,Grades down andHappiness down.
