Several human resource professionals including Rasheed Aregbesola and Owolabi Ibrahim have been recognised as full members of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria (CIPM) following the latest membership elevation exercise conducted by the institute.

At the recent ceremony announcing the upgraded membership status, eighty-five HR professionals were elevated from associate to full membership status, a recognition reserved for practitioners who have demonstrated advanced competence, professional experience and adherence to CIPM’s ethical standards.
In a post on the body’s social media page, the body congratulates the elevated professionals into becoming a full member of the association.
“Hearty congratulations to our latest Full Members of the only regulatory body for Human Resource Management in Nigeria on their successful elevation from Associate to Full Membership.
Kindly join us in extending your warm congratulatory messages,” the caption posted.
Among those honoured were Rasheed Aregbesola and Owolabi Ibrahim, whose names appeared on the official list shared on social media by the institute.
Records show that Rasheed Aregbesola is active in HR practice and professional development circles. Having worked as Administrative head at iCare foundation, his experience has presented him as worthy of the elevation.
Owolabi Ibrahim, on the other hand, is a seasoned professionals in administrative work having served as Executive director of Involve Africa, an NGO focusing on Sustainable Development Goals.
CIPM’s full membership (MCIPM) is recognised as one of the highest professional grades within the institute and reflects both experience and proficiency in human resource management practice.
Members are expected to uphold rigorous standards, contribute to the development of HR as a profession and lead efforts to improve workplace systems and organisational performance across sectors.
The institute’s elevation ceremonies form part of ongoing efforts to professionalise human resource management in Nigeria. CIPM has repeatedly emphasised that practising HR without proper certification is not permitted under existing regulations, reinforcing its role as the benchmark for HR competence in the country.
As full members, Aregbesola, Ibrahim and their peers join an expanding community of qualified HR leaders recognised for their contributions to people management and organisational excellence nationwide.
