PUNCH Newspaper Hilux caught smuggling people into EKITI

 

A delivering van belonging to one of the major media companies in Nigeria has been apprehended by security operatives keeping watching in Ekiti for smuggling passengers into the state despite an existing curfew.

According to a Twitter user @hordunade the van belonging to Punch Newspaper was accosted for a stop and search when it was discovered that it had passengers locked in its covered cabin.

Recall that Ekiti state Governor , Dr Kayode Fayemi has announced 12 hour dusk to Dawn curfew in the state as part of measures to stem the spread of Corona virus pandemic

If anyone thinks a corporate body like Punch organised the smuggling, you’re definitely not brilliant. I understand staff do some illegal things on their own which I believe the driver single-handedly did in this case. He needs to lose his job, be arrested and jailed.
