Maryam Shettima has been appointed as the Special Adviser to President Bola Tinubu on Culture and Entertainment.

The appointment comes just a day after she was unexpectedly removed and replaced from the list of ministerial nominees by the President.

The news was revealed by Akinsola Akin in a post on a social media platform.

Shetty was reportedly waiting at the National Assembly for her screening when she learned about her abrupt removal from the ministerial nomineesee’s list.

She had been replaced by Mariya Mahmoud Bunkure, a former Kano State Commissioner for Higher Education, who interestingly was also Shetty’s former classmate.

In response to the unexpected change, Shetty expressed her acceptance, attributing it to God’s will.

Despite the disappointment, she extended her gratitude to President Tinubu and Vice President Shettima for recognizing her value and nominating her in the first place.

Akinsola congratulated Shetty on her new role and shared her picture on the social media platform, marking the beginning of her tenure as the Special Adviser to the President on Culture and Entertainment.
