In a cabinet reshuffle, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has dismissed five ministers from his administration.
Barr. Uju-Ken Ohanenye, Minister of Women Affairs; Lola Ade-John, Minister of Tourism; Prof Tahir Mamman SAN OON, Minister of Education; Abdullahi Muhammad Gwarzo, Minister of State, Housing and Urban Development; and Dr. Jamila Bio Ibrahim, Minister of Youth Development, have all been relieved of their duties.
This move follows the recent scrapping of the Ministry of Niger Delta Affairs and Ministry of Sports Development, replaced by a new Ministry of Regional Development. The changes indicate a broader effort to reorganize and streamline the government.
The president has expressed gratitude to the outgoing members of the Federal Executive Council for their dedicated service to Nigeria, while also wishing them success in their future pursuits.
