Afrobeats superstars Wizkid, Burna Boy and Asake have been confirmed as headline acts for the 2026 edition of Afro Nation, scheduled to take place in Portugal.

The organisers of the global music festival announced the lineup in a post on X, describing the trio as some of Africa’s most influential contemporary artists whose global reach continues to expand. Afro Nation 2026 will once again be hosted at Praia da Rocha beach in Portimão, a venue that has become synonymous with the festival since its debut.

Wizkid, Burna Boy and Asake are expected to lead a star-studded lineup featuring top Afrobeats, Amapiano, Dancehall and Hip-hop acts from Africa and the diaspora. Burna Boy, a Grammy Award winner, has been a recurring headliner at the festival, while Wizkid remains one of Afrobeats’ most internationally recognised figures. Asake’s inclusion reflects his rapid rise and consistent chart success over the past few years.

Afro Nation organisers said early ticket sales for the 2026 event have already begun, with strong interest anticipated from fans across Europe, Africa, the United States and the Caribbean.

Since its launch in 2019, the festival has grown into one of the world’s largest celebrations of African music and culture, drawing tens of thousands of attendees annually.

The 2026 edition is expected to continue Afro Nation’s tradition of blending live music with cultural showcases, beach parties and community-focused events, further cementing Portugal’s status as a major destination for global Afrobeats fans.
