Police Releases Official Statement On Serial Fraudster Seun Egbegbe

The Lagos State Police Command has released an official statement concerning the arrest of filmmaker cum serial fraudster, Seun Egbegbe, who was arrested today in Gbagada area of the State. He was arrested after he attempted to defraud an unnamed Bureau De Change operator who had approached him after he posed as the Managing Director of the Gbagada General Hospital.

Recall that he (Seun) was arrested sometimes in November when he attempted to cart away with iPhones worth over N2m at the popular Computer Village, Ikeja. He was arrested and arraigned before an Ikeja Court. He was subsequently released on bail and his case was adjourned till February 8.

Despite having a pending case bothering on crime bothering on theft and fraud, Seun still managed to get his name booked even before he appears in Court.

Before the crime earlier today, Seun has been billed to appear before a Lagos Court in couple of days.

In the statement released by the State Police Command, it was revealed that the one-time filmmaker was caught alongside his accomplice with which he wanted to defraud the Forex Market operator.

“Today at about 1300hrs one Seun Karim aka Egbegbe and one[b] Ayo Oyekan[/b] disguised as the MD of Gbagada general hospital and the other as a patient. They lured one Alhaji Isa Adamu and Abdullahi Haruna both bureau de change members , from different location that they needed 9000dollars and 3000pounds.

The unsuspecting victims brought same to the suspects at the hospital where they collected the said amount and attempted to escape with the money.

The victims raised alarm and subsequently the suspect were arrested by the policemen attached to the hospital.

Further to the arrest of the fraudsters many members of bureau de change are trooping to the office with similar complaint against the suspects .
