By News reaching BlackBox Nigeria at this moment confirms that the number of Police officers currently at the National Stadium, Surulere Lagos outweighs the protesters who are ready to start the protest as earlier planned.
According to Instablog9ja, Police trucks numbering about ten were in sight as the protesters were denied entry into the National Stadium, the scheduled place the protest was expected to kick-off.
As at the time of filing this report, the protesters are being turned back from the gathering location.
Recall that a leader of the planned nationwide protest, 2Face has on Saturday called for the cancellation of the protest as he sighted security reasons for the cancellation.
According to the singer, he got an intel that some unknown hoodlums were planning to hijack the peaceful process and turn it to a violent one. He pleaded that the message he was trying to pass across to the Federal Government was not worth the life of anyone.
Following the cancellation, a supposed group alleged to have initiated the protest insisted that the exercise will go on regardless of 2Face who cancelled it.
