By The Lagos State police, Thursday, arrested three notorious armed robbers terrorizing residents of Abesan Estate, Ipaja area of Lagos, Blackboxnigeria gathered.
The suspects; Segun Oluwola, 21, Jamiu Olanrewaju, 20 and Idris Eniola, 25, reportedly stormed the Abesan Estate, at about 3am.
The trio however met their doom after police operatives from Ipaja division, led by the DPO, CSP Tokunmbo Aboniwonda, foiled the robbery attempt.
According to one of the residents, the robbers, who gained access into their homes by breaking the doors and windows, while disposing the residents of their belongings, had beat up an 85-year-old man, regardless of his age.
Items recovered from the trio include; cutlasses, iron bar, 14 mobile phones and sim cards.
The Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Bala Elkana, while confirming the incident, said the suspects are to undergoing interrogation.
