The Lagos State Police Command has officially exhumed the body of the late musician, Ilerioluwa Promise, popularly known as Mohbad.
This major development comes as part of a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding the sudden demise of the talented artist.
However, the presence of the bloodstain was a result of the necessary ritualistic sacrifice performed ibyYoruba tradition during the process of exhuming the body.
A source privy to the exhumation process exclusively told BlackBox Nigeria that the blood stains were that of a sacrifice carried out in line with Yoruba tradition to avert bad things happening in the community.
It is believed according to the Yoruba culture that if a corpse is exhumed after burial, it would lead to more deaths in the community, so, a sacrifice of a life animal either a goat or chicken had to be done to appease the land.
The animal will be used to replace the exhumed body BBN gathered.
Governor Sanwo olu directive led to the formation of a 13-member probe panel by the Lagos police command, emphasizing the importance of a thorough and transparent investigation.
Autopsy procedures are set to commence immediately, as earlier announced, to shed light on the mystery behind Mohbad’s untimely passing.
In a statement posted on social media, PPRO Benjamin Hundeyin stated, “Exhumation completed. Autopsy to commence. #JusticeForMohbad #Justice4Mohbad.”
