The Ojo Police Division has arrested One Emeka Emmanuel, aged 29, of Ijaniki, at Iyana Iba area of Lagos for allegedly impersonating to be an EFCC official.
The suspect was in possession of a fake EFCC identification card which he used in parading himself as an operative of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission.
According to information made available to BlackBox Nigeria, the suspect had duped several innocent citizens under the pretense of providing them employment with the EFCC as an operative.
One of the victims, Olaposi Semiu, of Agbara, Lagos told the Police Investigators that the suspect collected the sum of N51, 000 from him over a month ago with a promise of securing employment for his son.
The suspect, who confessed to the crime, also operated an illegal medical facility in his residence.
Medical equipment and fake certificates were recovered from the suspect.
The Command advised members of the public, especially job seekers to be mindful of the activities of such job scammers.
