By Nigeria’s Vice President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo on Thursday landed in the city of Maiduguri to flag off the distribution of tonnes of food items to Internally Displaced Persons camp in the North Eastern State which have come under fire in the hands of dreaded terrorist group, boko haram.
Prior to the arrival of the Acting President, bomb explosion rocked the State capital, killing and injuring several people who are currently receiving treatment in hospitals. Osinbajo paid visit to some of the victims and also shared moments with them.

He also visited the Bakassi Camp where he flagged off the distribution of food items donated by the government.
While visiting the Shehu of Borno, Alhaji Abubakar Garba El-Kanemi, Osinbajo affirmed that the Federal Government is set to address the feeding problem of the IDPs.
