By The remains of Prof. Lateef Akanni Hussein, a former Vice Chancellor of the Lagos State University, have been buried.
BlackBox Nigeria had reported that the Lagos Island-born academic died on Sunday after a brief illness at the age of 75.
Hussein, a professor of Physics, served the 6th Substantive Vice Chancellor of the state-owned institution between 2005 and 2011.
He was laid to rest in accordance with Islamic rites, on Monday, at the Abari Cemetery in the Lagos Island East Local Council Development Area of Lagos, after a brief prayer at the LASUTH Central Mosque, Ikeja.
The LASU Vice Chancellor, Prof. Ibiyemi Olatunji-Bello, who served under the deceased as Deputy Vice Chancellor, alongside other members of the university management and staff were in attendance.
