By Photos As Gov El-Rufai Visits Deposed Emir, Sanusi In Awe
It has just been confirmed that Kaduna State Governor, Mallam Nasir El-Rufai is the biggest fan of deposed Emir of Kano, Mallam Muhammad Lamido Sanusi II as the former has been showing support since the dethronement news broke out on Monday.
BlackBox Nigeria has confirmed that asides the two appointments Kaduna State has offered Sanusi since he left Kano Emirate, Governor El-Rufai has also paid a visit to him in his new home in Awe, Nassarawa State as seen in pictures obtained from the Governor’s Media Office.
It will be recalled that after Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje of Kano State approved the dethronement of Sanusi II on Monday, the Kaduna State has offered him two appointments; member of Board for Kaduna State Investment Promotion Agency and Chancellor of Kaduna State University.
The visit by Governor El-Rufai and him being admitted to see Sanusi has invalidated an earlier speculation that the former Emir was under house arrest and barred from entertaining visitors as it was the practice of the Hausa tradition in the time past.
