Barrister Lukman Akinsanya, founder of the PEPC Foundation, has officially declared his intention to contest for the House of Representatives seat representing Ibeju-Lekki Federal Constituency.

Akinsanya made the announcement in a statement obtained by BlackBox Nigeria, describing his decision as a call to serve and amplify the voices of constituents who, according to him, have long yearned for effective representation.

“Today, I take a step that is bigger than me, it is a step for every dream, every struggle, and every voice in Ibeju-Lekki Federal Constituency that longs to be heard,” he said.

The philanthropist expressed gratitude to supporters and emphasized that his ambition goes beyond personal political goals, framing it as a collective movement aimed at driving development and inclusiveness across the constituency.

“With a heart full of gratitude and a deep sense of duty, I humbly declare my intention to serve as your representative in the Federal House of Representatives,” Akinsanya stated.

Running under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), the aspirant pledged to champion opportunities for residents and ensure that no segment of the constituency is left behind.

He called on constituents to support his bid, stressing that collaboration and unity would be key to achieving meaningful progress.

“I cannot do this alone. I need your prayers, your belief, and your support. Together, we will rise, together we will build, and together we will win,” he added.

Through his foundation, he’s facilitated several projects across health, education, welfare and other areas that has benefited the community and the entire state at large.

Akinsanya’s declaration signals the start of what is expected to be a competitive race for the Ibeju-Lekki federal seat ahead of the next general elections.
