By Pencil Artist, Alesh Akeem Releases Portrait Of Wizkid And Dad
Nigerian artist, Aleash Akeem has released the portrait of Global Music sensation, Ayo Balogun, Wizkid and a throuwback of the singer’s father, Mr Balogun.
Alesh used his skills to translate images of Wizkid and his dad into a life-size portrait with a caption “Some People Don’t Believe In Super Heroes, But They Haven’t Met My Dad.”
In a statement made available to BlackBox Nigeria, the artist disclosed that the drawing was based on his believe that everyone has a hero as everyone has someone who inspires them.
He said, “Why I’m doing this is because I believe everyone has a hero, we all have someone that forever inspires us one way or another. So it’s not a bad idea if we celebrate these people using arts.”
Alesh who is currently on a personal project titled “Celebrating 10 Kings” stated that he will commence on a new one, “My Hero Series” as soon as he finishes celebrating notable traditional rulers.
His current project, Celebrating 10 Kings is a tour which sees him visiting 10 outstanding and remarkable traditional rulers across Africa.
