Veteran Nigerian actor, Sunday Omobolanle popularly known as Pappy Luwe has become a septuagenarian. The filmmaker and humorist earlier today marked his 70th birthday with a heartfelt message shared on his Instagram account.
The veteran Nollywood actor and comedian expressed gratitude for his life and wished himself long life, prosperity, and good health. He wrote, “Thank God for life. Happy 70th Birthday to me. I wish myself long life and prosperity in good health in Jesus name. Pappyluwe omo iya alaro @70.”
Born on October 10, 1954, in Ilora, Oyo State, Sunday Omobolanle has been a beloved figure in the Nigerian entertainment industry for several decades.
Renowned for his comedic roles and contributions to Yoruba cinema, Pappy Luwe has left an indelible mark on both television and stage performances.
Over the years, he has become a household name through popular works such as Adun Ewuro, Konkobilo, Head Gone, and Anikulapo, earning him widespread recognition.
He is the father of Sunkanmi Omobolanle, a Nigerian actor and director, and is married to actress Peju Ogunmola. In recognition of his contributions to the Nigerian film industry, he was honored with the Member of the Order of the Niger (MON) by former President Olusegun Obasanjo.
