By - Commissions Projects during handover ceremony
The outgoing General Office Commander, 81 Division of the Nigerian Army, Major General Johnson Olu Irefin has commended the Lagos Chapter of the Defense Correspondents for supporting his as the GOC.
Major Johnson made the disclosure while commissioning billiard board, lawn tennis court and other projects at the Marina 81 Division.
The GOC, while appreciating the defense correspondents said ” on assumption of office, i found out that without the press, i would not go far. I want to appreciate all you all for your wonderful support.
“as i hand over to my successor tomorrow, i appeal to you to extend same cordial relationship you had with me to him, as the success i had wouldn’t be possible without you all.”
Major General Johnson, who will be handing over to Major Gen. Godwin Umelo, has been posted to 6 Division, Nigerian Army, Port Harcout.
