It appears controversial Ghanaian singer, Shatta Wale has made a change of mind about his perception of Nigerian musicians.
The dancehall artist, who has a reputation for calling out the Nigerian music industry, took to his verified Twitter page on Sunday to urge his fellow Ghanaians to respect Nigerians for their hard work.
Shatta Wale noted that unlike their Ghanaian counterparts who are “lazy”, Nigerian acts put in the work and should be praised for their understanding of talent.
“Please can we just respect Nigerians for their hard work and stop comparing our lazy lifestyle to theirs .. It’s shame ppl think Nigerians will come hard at me but see they are the ones doing the streaming cuz they understand what Talent means .. Ghana music is a shame,” he wrote.

Expectedly, the tweet sparked mixed reactions from both Nigerians and Ghanaians. While the former were largely left in shock by the artiste’s sudden change of heart, he was dragged by his fellow compatriots for his ‘betrayal’.
It would be recalled that the controversial Ghanaian singer recently clashed with Grammy award winning Nigerian singer, Burna Boy. The messy social media row ended with the duo sending subtle threats to each other.
