The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has emerged victorious in all chairmanship and councillorship positions across the 30 local government areas of Osun State.
Chairman of the Osun State Independent Electoral Commission (OSSIEC), Hashim Abioye, made the announcement during a press briefing in Osogbo on Saturday, revealing that PDP candidates won every contested seat in the state.
The results mark a significant political victory for the PDP in the local government elections, which were held across Osun State.
Recall that the election was held amidst security challenges in the state and the absence of security operatives in some polling unit calls for concerns among stakeholders.
However, in a drastic turn of events, no case of violence was reported as every activities went peacefully.
