Ayomide Adeleye Ayoade, a Philosophy student at Olabisi Onabsnjo University (OOU), has been accused of abducting and murdering Christiannah Idowu, a 300-level student of The Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta(FUNAAB )who went missing recently.

Christiannah was reported missing on August 19, 2024, after her parents received messages from Ayomide using her WhatsApp account, demanding a ransom of N1.5 million.

Despite her parents raising N350,000, Ayomide ceased communication after receiving the money, later withdrawing funds from Christiannah’s account into his own. Intelligence operatives traced the transactions to Ayomide, confirming his involvement and leading to his arrest in Ikorodu.

During interrogation, Ayomide confessed on September 3 to killing Christiannah and burying her in their house.

In a previous incident in 2020, Ayomide allegedly killed his sister, but the family covered it up by claiming her boyfriend had used her for rituals.

Ayomide remains in custody as #justice for Christiannah is currently trending on the net.
