Reaction have continued to trail the crisis rocking the union of the 51st Ooni of Ife, Oba Aleyeluwa Adeyeye Enitan and his estranged wife, Queen Shilekunola Moronke Naomi.
The queen had taken to her Instagram page on Thursday to announce her separation from the monarch, saying she would no longer be referred to as wife to Ooni of Ife or as Queen of Ile-Ife but as the Queen of the people and mother to her son, Prince Tadenikawo.
The evangelist also accused the Ooni of hypocrisy and claimed that his public perception is different from his true character.
“Religion was never an issue between us; please refer to my interview on News Central TV. Instead, His Majesty has a picture he would love the world to see and perceive him as and another one which is his true self,” she said.
However, a Nigerian man who identifies as Olayinka B Sunmola on Facebook has alleged that the estranged queen gave a false account of the situation, describing her as “a pathetic liar”.
In a now-viral post posted on his page, Sunmola claimed that Shilekunola brought her mum and elder brother to the palace, saying the duo had caused so much troubles for the monarch.
The post read in part, “Why didn’t she mention that her brother insulted the King’s father at a point and never apologised till today? Not even her mum did so!
“It was her dad who went on apologising on her behalf. The king had enough of her troubles and sent the mum and sibling packing and she insisted if they can’t live in the palace she would also follow them. The king stood his ground and she threatened to go on social media and the man said she should go ahead.
“Her brother is even worse! The king gave you a multibillion naira estate project in Akure to handle, he messed up the whole thing with the building collapsing. The King had to take it over from him and now they are fighting the man.
“This girl just blew her chances! Her mum should be help responsible for the way she turned out.
“A small girl they brought from grass to grace and now wants to be the Lord of the Master simply because you have given him a son!
“I blame the King for not marrying many wives as the Alaafin. They wouldn’t have had the guts to misbehave.” (sic)
