Ondo State Records First Case Of COVID19

 

Governor of Ondo State, Arakurin Rotimi Akeredolu has announced the first case of a patient that tested positive to coronavirus.

As at 11am Friday, 3rd April, a total of 190 cases has been confirmed in Nigeria by the Nigerian Centre for Disease Control after 6 new cases were reported in Osun State.

The Governor disclosed that the patient has been taken into isolation and being monitored. He also noted that necessary actions has been taken in coordination with the NCDC in order to locate all contacts of the confirmed case.

Governor Akeredolu tweet reads, “We have just received confirmation of our first positive #COVIDー19 case in Ondo State this evening. The infected person is currently under isolation and will be monitored. We have activated all necessary protocol to locate all contacts and will be working closely with @NCDCgov.”

With the new reported case in Ondo State, the dreadful coronavirus has now spread across 13 States and also the FCT in Nigeria with 191 confirmed cases, with 24 persons discharged so far and 2 deaths.
