Nigerian singers, Omah Lay and Tems, earlier on Thursday, landed at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos from Uganda.
The Chairman, Nigerians in Diaspora Commission, Abike Dabiri-Erewa, confirmed this development in a tweet, announcing the arrival of both singers.
She tweeted, “Breaking: Stanley Omah Didia (@Omah_Lay), Temilade Openiyi (@temsbaby), Muyiwa Ayoniyi and others just landed at the MMIA Lagos from Uganda via Ethiopia Airline at about 12:35 pm local time. We are glad they are finally home.”
Recall the duo was arrested in Uganda for violating the country’s COVID-19 guidelines, on Monday. For performing at a concert, they were charged with “Negligently doing acts likely to spread an infectious diseases.”
They, however, regained freedom the following day and were housed by the Nigerian mission in Uganda.
