By Olumide Adeleke Shofowora Declares to Contest for Councillor in Maja Ward, Imota LCDA
In a political move aimed at changing the dynamics of representation, Olumide Adeleke Shofowora (Onward) has officially announced his intention to run for the position of Councillor in Maja Ward, Imota Local Council Development Area (LCDA) of Lagos State in the 2025 Local Government Election.
Shofowora, who is a graduate of Political Science from Lagos State University, has over 15 years of leadership experience across various sectors, including youth development, community engagement, and business, stated that his decision to contest was driven by his passion for driving progress in the community.
He emphasized that his extensive academic background in Political Science and Computer Desktop Publishing had equipped him with the necessary tools to contribute effectively to the development of Maja Ward.
“I respectfully request your support in this journey. Together, we can work to bring about progress and development in Maja Ward,” Shofowora said in a statement addressed to members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Maja Ward.
In his declaration, Shofowora outlined his “ONWARD AGENDA,” which includes a commitment to creating opportunities for all, fostering positive change through innovation, promoting teamwork, enhancing accountability, and ensuring that the needs of the community are met.
He emphasized the importance of development-driven initiatives that would help move the community forward.
