Ololade Mr Tattoo! Reactions Erupt Over Asake’s New Face Tattoo

Nigerian Singer and Rapper, Ahmed Ololade also known as Asake has set the Internet on fire with his new tattoo look, sparking different reactions from home and abroad.

The artist, who unfollow his boss, Olamide Badoo on social media, left his former record label, YBNL due to unknown reasons, has come up with a new look in the beginning of the year.

Posted on his Instagram account, the new look has generated a heated debate among fans whether it was his desire or an unknown influence.

While some fans are praising his confidence, others are questioning his decision to permanently ink his face.

Simplyfeezy, an Instagram user commented, “Is he the first person in the world to get a face tattoo? Honestly, people talking about it are just jobless and shameless.” Many seem to feel that fame has taken a toll on Asake’s appearance.

Blessing Adeayo lamenting, “Fame messes with people’s heads. A face tattoo is just a dirty-looking appearance. Very few things are dumber than that.”

Others have compared him to a younger Lil Wayne, with @officialfemi saying, “Upcoming Lil Wayne? Wow, Asake has changed so much, he’s almost unrecognizable. Leaving YBNL was a huge mistake.”

However, some supporters are taking a more positive stance, noting, “Congrats to him for believing in himself and embracing the path of the ‘unemployable’—he’s on another level now. Rebranding is good,” an Instagram user commented.

On the other hand, there’s a sense of caution, with a few commenting on the risks of straying too far from the persona that initially brought Asake fame:

“When you try to take a huge and drastic step away from what made you famous, things can get murky. But we wish him the very best.”

Some fans also feel there’s something deeper going on, with one user saying, “This guy looks like someone who’s sold his soul to the devil. Fame can be deceiving, and when it fades, that’s when the real regret sets in. This is the same guy who used to back up for Broda Shaggi, Olamide marketed him well, but now pride seems to have taken over.”

As Asake continues to navigate his career and image, the debate over his face tattoo shows no signs of slowing down.
