Oil Marketers Agree To Leave PMS At N145, Demands For Incentives
Oil marketers has agreed to allow the pump price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) reamin at N145 per litre.
This was the outcome of the meeting held with the Federal Government on Wednesday.
It will be recalled that the Chairman of Depot and Petroleum Products Marketers Association, Dapo Abiodun had disclosed that marketers could no longer import the commodity at a controlled price of N145 set by the FG.
Reports gathered at the meeting disclosed that the marketers agreed on a reversal after discussing with the Ad hoc Committee set up by the Presidency. While the communique on the resolutions is yet to be released to the public, there will be no increase in the pump price of petrol.
Also, it was learnt that the marketers demanded that the FG grant them tax holidays and other incentives that would help cut their costs when they resume fuel importation.
