The Ogun State Police Command on Friday arrested 19 hoodlums suspected to be rival cult members.
Blackboxnigeria gathered that the suspects who were engaged in a supremacy battle, metamorphosed the crisis into robbery and other criminal activities in the Ifo local government area of Ogun State.
The suspects are; Ekunoye lucky,Male, 22, Badmus Sodiq, male, 27, Showumi Femi ,male, 21, Adeagbo Adewumi, male, 22, Agboola Femi ,male, 21, Adekunle Okeoye, male, 23, Sulaiman Ogunbiyi, aka Absorver federal, Saminu Adamu and Nasiru Umar.
Blackboxnigeria learnt that ten of the hoodlums have been picked up at various locations in Ifo, kajola and Ososun areas of Ifo local government by SARS operatives.
Face masks, assorted charms, locally made short gun and five live cartridges were recovered from the suspects.
The Commissioner of Police, CP Kenneth Ebrimson, ordered that the arrested suspects be transferred to special anti-robbery squads (SARS) for discreet investigation, noting that the operation should be continued until the last of the hoodlums are apprehended.
The CP appealed to members of the public not to be unnecessarily apprehensive as the command will continue to do everything within its power to ensure the good people of Ogun state enjoy adequate security, especially during and after this trying period.
