Grammy-winning Afrobeats star Burna Boy has ignited fresh controversy online after appearing to ridicule Wizkid’s official disc jockey, DJ Tunez, following their widely publicised altercation at a Lagos nightclub.
The incident, which occurred on April 6, 2026, at the popular nightlife spot Obi’s House, quickly became a trending topic after multiple videos surfaced showing a heated clash between Burna Boy, his crew, and DJ Tunez.
In one of the clips circulating online, DJ Tunez is seen on the ground wearing his custom “Number 1” shirt as the scuffle unfolds around him.
Another video captured the moment the DJ threw a punch at Burna Boy before the situation escalated, with reports indicating the singer was eventually pulled away by members of his entourage.
Breaking his silence on April 7, DJ Tunez took to X around 1:06 PM, posting a defiant message that suggested he had recovered from the incident, contrary to speculation that he might have been hospitalised.
He later addressed the clash during an Instagram Live session, where he was seen dancing to K1 De Ultimate’s “Solo Makinde”, and calling him “all sign of weakness”.
During the livestream, DJ Tunez accused Burna Boy of starting the altercation by hitting him from behind, describing the move as unfair. He also insisted he held his own despite being outnumbered, claiming the singer “collected” when he defended himself.
Amid the growing online reactions, a separate video surfaced showing Burna Boy in his Lagos apartment alongside members of his team. In the clip, the singer played “Money Constant,” a track linked to Wizkid’s camp, while mockingly reenacting DJ Tunez’s fall and making remarks that many interpreted as a jab at the DJ.
The exchange has since fueled conversations across social media, with fans of both camps weighing in as tensions continue to play out in the public eye.
