It’s official! INEC announces postponement of Presidential and National Assembly polls
The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC has announced the postponement of today’s polls.
Elections were expected to hold for the presidency and National Assembly but BlackBox Nigeria can now report that there will be a rescheduling.

THE election will now hold on February 23, 2019.

BlackBox Nigeria has earlier reported a possible postponement following discoveries that the commission wasn’t ready for the elections as sensitive materials were yet to be distributed to centres across the country as at 10pm Nigerian time.
The postponement possibility was further heightened after INEC chairman, Professor Mahmood Yakubu called for an emergency meeting of the commission in Abuja.
