Oba Sejiro James, PS WaterFront, Access Bank CEO, LASU-VC, Others For Lagos State Man Of The Year Award 2017
Ten important personalities have been penned down to be crowned with the prestigious Lagos State Man of The Year Award 2017. The award which is planned by the Centre for Policy Development and Political Studies is to recognise genuine role models in the Centre of Excellence.
Listed for this year’s award are Oba (Dr) Sejiro Olalekan James, Oba of Kwame Kingdom, Badagry; Professor Olanrewaju Adigun Fagbohun Vice Chancellor LASU; Hon Muslim Olohuntele Folami, Commissioner for Local Government and Community Affairs; Alhaji Babatunde Tajudeen Rotinwa, Chairman, Local Government Service Commission; Engineer Adeyemi Saliu Abidemi, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Waterfront and Infrastructure Development.

Also, Group Managing Director and CEO of Access Bank Nigeria, Mr Herbert Wigwe; Olori Francis O Meshioye, Olori Oluwo, the Reformed Ogboni Fraternity; Dr Adebola Akindele FCA; Dr Abayomi Ajayi and Aare (Dr) Safiriyu Adebanjo Kazeem, President and CEO of SAF Petroleum Limited.
The nominees are expected to gather votes from their well wishers as the personality with the highest votes emerges the winner. The current holder of the 2016 edition is Mr Hakeem Bamidele Ogunniran, the Managing Director of UACN Property Development Company.

Oba Sejiro who attained the throne of his forebears over a decade ago has been instrumental to the sustained peace witnessed in the Seme border and Ketu-Badagry area of Lagos State, where his kingdom is located.
Another nominee, Professor Fagbohun of Lagos State University has been responsible for the re-branding and repositioning of the State institution which currently earned it the Best State University in Nigeria (NUC 2016).
While Engineer Adeyemi Saliu Abidemi, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Waterfront and Infrastructure Development has be instrumental in the renewed efforts at managing the coastal city and facilitating ideas in the Lekki Free Trade Zone.
