Oba of Lagos’ son, Kayode Akiolu wins Reps election
A prince of Lagos, Kayode Akiolu has won the Lagos Island Federal Constituency II under the flagship of the All Progressives Congress.

Kayode Moshood Akiolu who is a son of the Oba of Lagos, Oba Rilwal Akiolu defeated his closest rival, Adamoh Olagbenga of the Peoples Democratic Party to emerge the Reps-Elect in Lagos Island.

Kayode Akiolu polled 12,988 to defeat Olagbenga who scored 4,345 according to the official declaration by the Independent National Electoral Commission.
The Returning Officer, Professor Solomon Akingboye stated that “The candidate of the APC, Akiolu Moshood Kayode, having scored the highest valid votes, is hereby declared the winner and is returned elected.”
