By NYSC: Increase Corp members allowance to N50,000 -Gov Fayose tasks FG
Governor Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti state has called upon the Federal Government to increse the monthly allowance of NYSC Corp members to N50,000.
Nigerian Corp members currently get paid N19,800 but Governor Fayose wants N30,200 to be added to make it N50,000.
The governor was speaking at the 2017 NYSC Batch A orientation closing ceremony in Ise Ekiti. Represented by the Commissioner for Information, Youths and Sports, Mr Lanre Ogunsuyi, Fayose promised to make the Corp members stay in the state a memorable one.
“Ekiti State is the most peaceful state in Nigeria, Corps members can tour the 16 local governments of the state any time they like, they are very safe,” the Permanent Secretary State Ministry of Information, Kola Ajumobi further assured Corp members.
