Sport administrator, Azeez Mustapha has been appointed the new director of National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) Sports, Recreation and Social Affairs directorate.
This comes on the heels of Mustapha’s valuable experience, success and antecedents in shaping sports in Lagos state.
Speaking to Mustapha revealed his plans to foster youth involvement in sports to create a pathway for talent discovery.
He said the sport directorate will create a synergy with the Lagos State Sports Commission (LSSC) to ensure they are on the right track
“I’m elated with this appointment. I can assure you work has already started and myself and other members of the directorate spread across the 5 divisions of the State will map out ideas to encourage more youths to take up career in sports.
“Part of our plans is to collaborate with the Lagos State Sports Commission (LSSC), share our programs with them to create a pathway to the actualization of the programs.”
