NPFL: Olatunbosun Scores, As Mfm FC Pip ABS In Lagos

Sikiru Olatunbosun scored the winning goal as Mfm FC of Lagos defeated Abubakar Bukola Saraki FC of Ilorin 2 – 1 at the soccer temple Agege.

The hosted needed the win desperatly to keep the pressure on league leaders, Plateau United who traveled all the way to maiduguri to face El-kanemi warriors.

The host drew first blood when Austine Ogunye to set the mood for the party by scoring the first goal in the 17th minute.

At the hight of the tension of the second half, Sikiru Olatunbosun ended a superb build up play that involved midfield maestro, Onuwa Chukwuka and Ogunye to give the host a two goal lead. However, the game will end on a tensed note as ABS got a very late in the game and threatened to upset the host.

The strategic introduction of former Ikorodu united man, Candy Agbane to drained the stop watch proved effective as the Olukoya boys bagged all three points to reduce the point difference between them and the league leaders to two points.

Should the Olukoya boys win the league they will become only the first south west team to land the converted trophy since Julius Berger several years ago.
