“Not that famous but famous people know me“, this quote has always been in his bio on Twitter but nobody paid attention.
Nope he didn’t lie, in truth he was even economical with facts.
For a while now, Nigerians were bewildered by the satirical style of the EFCC official Twitter account which quickly became a darling of millions due to his clapback responses and jovial posts.
He was simply known to all as ‘The Handler‘ and more than once, some people were disclosed to be the face behind the account which were never substantiated.
BlackBox Nigeria can now authoritatively reveal who has always been behind the EFCC account which got many reeling in laughter several times. Unfortunately, he is leaving this position.
He is F. Shaw, a veteran Nigerian rapper who gained a brief attention in the limelight about 7 years ago.
Not many will remember this but in 2010, he made a huge impression in the entertainment industry with the release of his acclaimed single, ‘Moonlight Serenade’ which garnered positive reviews.
His real name is Olufemi Olukayode Adeyemi and he is a Nigerian rapper, songwriter and ofcourse satirist!
Earlier on today, EFCC in a send off tweet appreciated F. Shaw for his services. Refering to him as “The Handler”, EFCC via its official account described him as an excellent communicator while thanking him for his service and wished him goodluck ahead of his new endeavour.
Unfortunately, F. Shaw is leaving the handle and we can only hope that the huge shoes he is leaving behind can be adequately filled by whoever will be coming in.
While many are speculating that he was relieved of his job, a source inside EFCC has revealed to BlackBox Nigeria that F. Shaw was in fact promoted and not sacked.
